Overview

Casio Pathfinder is a very popular family of sport watches that brings all the important features, while offering unquestionable reliability. Casio Pathfinder PAG240T-7CR is an upgraded version of the PAG240-1 that is lighter, and more durable. These watches are affordable, and will serve you for a long time.

Design

Casio Pathfinder PAG240T-7CR looks like a busy watch with all of its bezel details, but nothing looks too aggressive or out of place. The main difference between PAG240-1 and PAG240T-7CR is the fact that the latter features a Titanium band and stainless steel case. This makes it very durable and light, while still remaining comfortable to wear every day.

Features

Casio Pathfinder PAG240T-7CR comes with the most basic features, meaning you get an altimeter, barometer, compass and thermometer. Altimeter is definitely not the best since it measures altitude in increments of 5 meters, or 20 feet. Compared to Suunto's 1 meter, or 3 feet altimeters that come with their basic models, this Casio is definitely outperformed. Barometer is average, offering weather trends and a graph that displays this information. Compass comes with adjustable declination, and is decent. However it shouldn't be your only compass if you plan on doing serious navigation.

One of the most interesting features of this Casio is the fact that it uses solar power to recharge the battery. This means that it essentially has an unlimited battery life. Once fully charged, it can run up to six months without having contact with sunlight.

Specifications:

  • Altimeter
  • Barometer
  • Compass
  • Solar Power
  • Titanium Band and Stainless Steel Case

Conclusion

While it's not as accurate as some Suunto models, Casio Pathfinder PAG240T-7CR brings some advantages of its own. The solar power charging is a great feature, and the Titanium used for the band and case means that you won't have to worry about damaging this watch.
