Nikon D3300 Review

The Good: For the price, you'll have a hard time finding a better sensor. The camera features lightweight body and excellent battery life.

The Bad: Menu system leaves a lot to be desired. Live View and movie modes offer limited controls over aperture. Slow auto focus in Live View mode.

The Verdict: As one of the cheapest DSLR cameras in its class, Nikon D3300 is surprisingly good. Buying this camera is quite possibly the easiest and least expensive way to get into photography.

Features

The camera's 24.2 megapixel sensor is pretty amazing, considering the camera's price. The image quality is very good until ISO 1600, after which there's progressively more noise, but this is to be expected. Besides decent photos, the camera takes full HD video at 60 fps, which is unexpected at this price point. The battery is surprisingly good for such a small camera.

Build Quality

The camera body is made out of plastic, and while it doesn't feel extremely robust, it still offers better quality than what you might expect at this price point. The rubber coating on the grim and on the thumb rest is of high quality.

Conclusion

All things considered, Nikon D3300 is an amazing camera at under $400, and it probably offers the best bang for the buck out there. Sure it has its flaws, especially in the Live View, which isn't a huge setback considering the price
